NEVER ECHO BACK A SOUND

2024

NEVER ECHO BACK A SOUND is a sculpture and installation project about the fiction of the erosion of a house as a metaphor for forgottenness, imagining a house from the ’60s as a living space that ages on a geological scale. The architectural materials contain the memory of rains, families, ice ages, and funerals, blurring the border between the natural, the built, and the emotional. Thus, the exhibition of the project is presented as an encounter with aged vestiges of domestic and architectural objects: chandeliers that fell like rain, railings that opened like ribs, fossils of cut glass, and curtains that remained like skins of past architectures.
