Históricamente, el carbón ha tenido una estrecha relación tanto con la economía como con la producción de imágenes. El proyecto reúne una compilación de imágenes sobre momentos en los que esta relación se ha reforzado por su representación, las cuales son traducidas al mismo lenguaje contemporáneo por medio del pixelado. Estas nuevas imágenes son reconstruídas con diversos métodos empleados para la representación en diferentes momentos históricos: desde el frottage hasta la inyección del pigmento del carbón. Las piezas buscan converger la imágen contemporánea con la técnica tradicional, así como la macroescala del dibujo y la microescala de la impresión.

Historically, coal has had a close relationship with both the economy and the production of images. The project brings together a compilation of images about moments in which this relationship has been reinforced by its representation, which are translated into the same contemporary language through pixelation. These new images are reconstructed with various methods used for representation at different historical moments: from frottage to injection of carbon pigment. The pieces seek to converge the contemporary image with the traditional technique, as well as the macroscale of the drawing and the microscale of the print.
