BIZNAGA (CACTUS)
2019
BIZNAGA (CACTUS) is a study focused on entities and objects whose shapes adapt to the challenges of their environment. The project combines two sets of data from Mexico City: one that maps the locations of local cacti and another that indicates where property thefts occur, typically accompanied by security ironworks. Both datasets correspond to areas with limited natural or economic resources. By analyzing both sets of data together, the project suggests the concept of creating a species capable of surviving the conditions in Mexico City: an iron cactus or a security fence that grows organically.
